Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor in construction, maintenance, and repair of streets, sidewalks, and drainage systems
- Operate hand/power tools, machinery, and equipment safely and efficiently
- Assist in traffic control, flagging, and work zone setup
- Load/unload materials and maintain organized job sites
- Participate in emergency response for weather-related incidents
- Follow all safety protocols and OSHA standards
- Complete daily maintenance logs and reports
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid California Driver's License with clean record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Experience with construction tools or public works preferred
- Strong commitment to workplace safety
- Ability to work in all weather conditions
- Basic math skills for material estimation
