Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor including excavation, paving, and utility maintenance
- Operate light equipment (e.g., jackhammers, saws) and hand tools safely
- Assist in repairing roads, sidewalks, and drainage systems
- Maintain work zones with traffic control devices and signage
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and city safety protocols
- Support stormwater management and erosion control projects
- Document work progress and material usage
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Texas Class C driver's license
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather
- Basic knowledge of construction/maintenance practices
- OSHA 10-hour certification preferred
- Experience with hand/power tools and heavy machinery
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Ability to follow written instructions and work independently
