Job Summary

The Public Works Laborer is responsible for performing a variety of manual labor tasks related to the maintenance and repair of public infrastructure, including streets, sidewalks, drainage systems, and public facilities. You will work outdoors in all weather conditions and operate various heavy machinery and hand tools.

Responsibilities

  • Perform manual labor tasks such as cleaning streets, repairing potholes, and maintaining sidewalks.
  • Operate heavy equipment including dump trucks, graders, loaders, and snowplows during inclement weather.
  • Maintain and clean storm drains and ditches to prevent flooding.
  • Assist with traffic control, flagging, and signage during road construction or maintenance projects.
  • Load and unload construction materials and supplies from delivery trucks.
  • Ensure all work areas are kept clean, organized, and safe according to OSHA standards.

Qualifications
