Responsibilities
- Perform general labor duties including road maintenance, paving, and snow and ice removal.
- Operate heavy equipment such as dump trucks, loaders, and graders safely and efficiently.
- Assist in traffic control, flagging, and directing vehicular and pedestrian traffic.
- Load and unload construction materials, tools, and supplies.
- Inspect public infrastructure for damage or maintenance needs and report findings to supervisors.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment in accordance with all safety regulations.
- Respond to emergency public works requests as needed during inclement weather events.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is preferred.
- Ability to pass a physical fitness test and background check.
- Willingness to work in all weather conditions and rotating shifts.
- Basic knowledge of construction or road maintenance practices is a plus.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
