Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including digging, grading, and spreading asphalt, concrete, or dirt.
- Operate heavy machinery such as backhoes, loaders, excavators, and dump trucks in a safe and efficient manner.
- Assist in the maintenance and repair of public infrastructure, including streets, sidewalks, and drainage canals.
- Clear debris, snow, and ice from roads and public areas during adverse weather conditions.
- Load and unload construction materials and equipment from trucks using hand tools and forklifts.
- Follow all safety regulations and OSHA guidelines while working on active job sites.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring tools and equipment are returned properly.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Valid Class C Texas Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently and work in various weather conditions.
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment is preferred but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to public safety.
- Willingness to work overtime, nights, weekends, or holidays as needed.
