As a Public Works Laborer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and improving Baltimore’s roadways, bridges, and public facilities. We value hard work, reliability, and safety above all else.
Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks related to road maintenance, paving, and utility installation.
- Operate heavy machinery and construction equipment safely and efficiently under supervision.
- Load, unload, and distribute construction materials, tools, and supplies.
- Assist in excavation, grading, and concrete pouring activities.
- Ensure job sites are clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with foremen and team members to ensure project milestones are met.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Valid Driver’s License (Class A or B not required but a plus).
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50+ lbs) repeatedly.
- Physical stamina to perform labor-intensive work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Willingness to undergo a background check and drug screening.
- Experience in construction, landscaping, or public works is a strong plus.
