Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including excavation, grading, and trenching
- Operate light machinery (e.g., jackhammers, power saws, asphalt cutters)
- Install and maintain traffic control devices and safety barriers
- Assist in road repair, sidewalk construction, and storm drain maintenance
- Load/unload construction materials and equipment safely
- Follow OSHA safety protocols and maintain clean work sites
- Complete daily equipment inspections and maintenance reports
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Valid California Driver's License with clean record
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and materials
- Experience with heavy equipment operation (certification a plus)
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and flexible hours
