Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including excavation, paving, and landscaping
- Operate light machinery (saws, jackhammers, dump trucks) after training
- Assist in repairing roads, drainage systems, and public facilitiesMaintain cleanliness of work sites and adhere to safety standards
- Collaborate with crew members to complete projects efficiently
- Report equipment issues and maintenance needs
- Participate in emergency response during severe weather events
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED accepted)
- Valid Texas Driver's License or ability to obtain within 30 days
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work outdoors in extreme temperatures
- Willingness to submit to background check and drug screening
- No felony convictions (non-violent misdemeanors considered)
- Basic math skills for measurements and material calculations
- Commitment to attending all paid training sessions
