Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including excavation, paving, and groundskeeping
- Operate light machinery (e.g., jackhammers, saws, compactors) safely and efficiently
- Assist in stormwater management, drainage system maintenance, and erosion control
- Conduct daily site inspections and report infrastructure concerns
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and environmental regulations
- Maintain accurate work logs and complete required documentation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on complex municipal projects
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Valid Florida Driver's License with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year experience in construction or public works
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Knowledge of basic hand/power tools and safety equipment
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Ability to work in all weather conditions and flexible schedule
