Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including excavation, paving, and landscaping for municipal projects
- Operate light machinery (e.g., jackhammers, power saws) under supervision
- Maintain and repair public facilities including roads, sidewalks, and drainage systems
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety protocols and environmental regulations
- Assist in emergency response during weather-related incidents
- Complete daily work orders and project documentation accurately
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Valid Pennsylvania Driver's License with clean record
- Minimum 1 year construction/public works experience preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- OSHA 10-Hour Construction certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and construction materials
- Pass pre-employment physical and background check
