Responsibilities
- Operate city-provided heavy equipment (backhoes, loaders, dump trucks) under supervision
- Perform manual labor tasks including excavation, grading, and material handling
- Assist in road maintenance, drainage system repairs, and park facility upkeep
- Follow strict safety protocols and maintain equipment cleanliness
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project deadlines
- Document daily operations and report equipment maintenance needs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid Texas Driver's License (Class A/B preferred)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Basic mechanical aptitude with willingness to operate city equipment
- Strong work ethic and punctuality record
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
