Responsibilities
- Perform street maintenance, snow removal, and park landscaping duties
- Operate heavy equipment including loaders and backhoes safely
- Assist in stormwater management and water quality improvement projects
- Conduct infrastructure inspections and report maintenance needs
- Maintain safe work zones following OSHA and city protocols
- Participate in emergency response during severe weather events
- Support recycling and waste diversion initiatives
Qualifications
- Valid Minnesota Class D Driver's License
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather
- Basic mechanical knowledge of heavy equipment
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Experience in public works, construction, or landscaping preferred
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Pass pre-employment physical and background check
