Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor including excavation, grading, and material handling for infrastructure projects
- Operate light machinery (e.g., jackhammers, saws, compactors) under supervision
- Assist in construction, repair, and maintenance of roads, sidewalks, and drainage systems
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and maintain clean work sites
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards
- Respond to emergency weather-related maintenance tasks as needed
- Complete daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance checks
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid North Carolina driver's license
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and safety procedures
- Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Ability to pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- 1+ year of construction or labor experience preferred
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
