Responsibilities
- Operate heavy machinery (excavators, loaders, dump trucks) for excavation and grading projects
- Perform manual labor including digging, paving, and landscape maintenance
- Assist in road repair, drainage system installation, and sidewalk construction
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and maintain clean job sites
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on municipal infrastructure projects
- Conduct routine equipment inspections and basic maintenance
- Support emergency response during severe weather events
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid driver's license with clean record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly
- Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Basic mechanical aptitude and equipment familiarity
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Pennsylvania residency required at time of hire
