Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor including excavation, grading, and paving operations
- Operate light equipment (e.g., jackhammers, saws, pressure washers) safely
- Maintain roads, sidewalks, and drainage systems per city standards
- Assist in emergency response during storm events or public safety incidents
- Conduct daily equipment inspection and maintenance
- Follow OSHA safety protocols and wear required PPE
- Document work activities and maintain accurate records
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid California Class C Driver's License
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and perform physical labor in all weather
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and construction equipment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Preferred: 1+ years construction or public works experience
