Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain city-provided heavy machinery (excavators, loaders, graders)
- Perform manual labor tasks including excavation, grading, and concrete pouring
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and report maintenance needs
- Assist in traffic control and site safety compliance
- Participate in infrastructure repair projects (roads, drainage systems, utilities)
- Maintain accurate work logs and project documentation
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid New Mexico driver's license with clean record
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to operate heavy machinery (training provided)
- Physical ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in outdoor conditions
- Basic knowledge of construction safety protocols
- Experience with hand/power tools and equipment maintenance
