Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on roads, sidewalks, and public facilities
- Operate heavy machinery including excavators, loaders, and dump trucks
- Assist in construction projects including drainage systems and utility repairs
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and basic troubleshooting
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and OSHA standards
- Participate in emergency response operations during severe weather events
- Document work activities and maintain accurate project records
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid New Jersey Commercial Driver's License (CDL Class B)
- Minimum 2 years experience in construction or public works
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Strong knowledge of hand/power tools and safety equipment
- Pass pre-employment physical and background check
