Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including excavation, demolition, and construction
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and light machinery safely
- Assist in maintaining public infrastructure (roads, sidewalks, parks)
- Follow OSHA safety protocols and maintain clean work sites
- Collaborate with supervisors and crew members on project timelines
- Report maintenance issues and complete daily work logs
- Participate in emergency response for public works emergencies
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid Pennsylvania driver's license
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical labor in all weather
- Basic knowledge of construction/maintenance practices
- OSHA 10-hour certification preferred
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Strong work ethic and reliable attendance
- Experience with municipal projects preferred
