Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor including excavation, grading, and material handling for city infrastructure projects
- Operate light machinery (e.g., jackhammers, saws, power tools) under supervision
- Maintain job site safety by following OSHA protocols and wearing PPE
- Assist in roadway repairs, drainage improvements, and park maintenance
- Load/unload construction materials and equipment safely
- Complete daily equipment maintenance checks and basic repairs
Qualifications
- Valid Florida driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and construction materials
- Pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Experience with municipal/public works projects a plus
