Responsibilities
- Execute manual labor tasks including excavation, grading, and material handling
- Operate heavy machinery (backhoes, dump trucks) with proper certification
- Perform road maintenance, drainage repairs, and park infrastructure work
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and maintain clean job sites
- Collaborate with engineering teams on project specifications
- Conduct routine equipment inspections and minor repairs
- Document daily work logs and material usage
Qualifications
- Valid Florida driver's license with clean record
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Basic math skills for material calculations
- 2+ years construction or public works experience
