Responsibilities
- Operate heavy machinery, including dump trucks, forklifts, and backhoes, ensuring safe and efficient operation.
- Perform manual labor tasks such as loading and unloading construction materials, debris removal, and street cleaning.
- Maintain and repair roads, drainage systems, and public infrastructure under the guidance of supervisors.
- Assist with snow removal and ice control operations during inclement weather events.
- Ensure all work areas adhere to OSHA safety standards and environmental regulations.
- Collaborate with engineering and utility teams to execute public works projects effectively.
Qualifications
- Valid New Jersey Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Physical ability to perform heavy manual labor, including lifting 50+ lbs and working in various weather conditions.
- Familiarity with basic construction equipment and safety protocols is preferred.
- Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
