Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor in public infrastructure maintenance including road repairs, sidewalk construction, and park landscaping
- Operate heavy machinery (e.g., jackhammers, asphalt cutters, dump trucks) safely and efficiently
- Conduct routine inspections of public facilities and report maintenance needs
- Collaborate with remote team members using digital tools for project planning and reporting
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and environmental regulations during field operations
- Assist in emergency response activities during weather events or public safety incidents
- Maintain accurate work logs and documentation through remote digital platforms
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent with 1+ years construction/public works experience
- Valid Texas Class C Driver's License with clean driving record
- OSHA 10-Hour Construction Safety Certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Proficiency with digital tools for remote reporting (e.g., mobile apps, cloud platforms)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks in varying weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of blueprints and construction materials
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- U.S. citizenship or legal authorization to work in the United States
