Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including grading, paving, and repairing roads and sidewalks.
- Operate and maintain light to heavy-duty construction equipment such as dump trucks, backhoes, and rollers.
- Assist in traffic control, flagging, and setting up construction zones to ensure safety.
- Clear debris, snow, and ice from streets, parks, and public facilities during inclement weather.
- Load and unload materials, tools, and supplies at job sites.
- Follow safety protocols and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding project progress and safety concerns.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Valid Class C Texas Driver's License and a clean driving record.
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and perform strenuous manual labor for extended periods.
- Experience with construction equipment, landscaping, or public works is a plus but not required.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions, including heat, rain, and cold.
- Willingness to undergo a background check and drug screen.
