Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks associated with road maintenance, including paving, patching, and sweeping streets.
- Operate light to medium construction equipment such as rollers, compactors, and dump trucks.
- Assist in the installation and repair of drainage systems and public utilities.
- Ensure job sites are clean, safe, and compliant with OSHA safety regulations.
- Perform traffic control duties, including flagging and directing vehicles.
- Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment as needed.
- Monitor and report maintenance issues to the foreman or supervisor.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
- Valid Louisiana Class C Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- Ability to perform physical labor in various weather conditions.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Willingness to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Previous experience in construction or public works is a plus.
