Responsibilities
- Perform heavy manual labor including excavation, digging, and trenching for utility lines and infrastructure projects.
- Operate and assist with heavy machinery and equipment such as backhoes, skid steers, and concrete mixers.
- Assist in the pouring and finishing of concrete for sidewalks, curbs, and roadways.
- Control traffic flow and direct pedestrians during construction activities using flagging equipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site by removing debris and following site safety protocols.
- Read and interpret basic site plans, blueprints, and safety data sheets (SDS).
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Valid New York State driver's license and clean driving record.
- Physical ability to lift 50+ lbs frequently and stand/walk for extended periods in various weather conditions.
- Previous experience in construction, landscaping, or public works is highly preferred.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification is a plus but not required.
