Responsibilities
- Operate city-provided heavy machinery (excavators, graders, rollers) for infrastructure projects
- Perform manual labor including excavation, grading, and material handling
- Conduct routine equipment maintenance and safety inspections
- Assist in road construction, sidewalk repairs, and public facility maintenance
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and environmental compliance standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on project timelines and deliverables
- Document daily operations and project progress in digital systems
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid New Mexico Driver's License with clean record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Basic mechanical aptitude for equipment operation
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions and outdoor environments
- Strong commitment to safety and teamwork
