Responsibilities
- Operate city-provided equipment (excavators, graders, dump trucks) for infrastructure projects
- Perform manual labor including excavation, grading, and material handling
- Adhere to strict OSHA safety protocols and maintain equipment cleanliness
- Assist in road maintenance, drainage systems, and public facility upkeep
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project deadlines
- Document work progress and report equipment maintenance needs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Texas Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years operating heavy construction equipment
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Pass pre-employment physical and background check
- Basic knowledge of municipal infrastructure systems
