Responsibilities
- Perform daily trash collection, recycling pickup, and yard waste removal in assigned zones.
- Maintain and repair roads, sidewalks, and drainage systems to ensure public safety.
- Clear snow and ice from streets, parking lots, and sidewalks during inclement weather.
- Operate and maintain light to heavy-duty machinery, including dump trucks, loaders, and mowers.
- Assist with landscaping projects, including planting, weeding, and tree trimming.
- Respond to emergency public service calls and perform general maintenance duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid Class D Tennessee Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
- Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
- Willingness to work in all weather conditions (extreme heat, cold, rain).
- Basic knowledge of safety regulations and equipment operation is a plus.
- Reliable transportation to and from the job site.
