Responsibilities
- Operate city-provided heavy equipment (excavators, loaders, dump trucks) for excavation and grading
- Perform manual labor tasks including shoveling, lifting, and material handling
- Maintain and clean job sites according to safety protocols
- Assist in road repair, drainage system maintenance, and park infrastructure projects
- Conduct routine equipment inspections and report maintenance needs
- Collaborate with crew leads to ensure project timelines are met
- Adhere to OSHA safety standards and city regulations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid Nevada driver's license with clean record
- Ability to pass pre-employment physical examination
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and machinery
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions
- Strong commitment to workplace safety
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
- Reliable transportation to worksites throughout Reno
