Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including excavation, grading, and material handling
- Operate light machinery (e.g., jackhammers, compactors) safely and efficiently
- Assist in infrastructure repairs (roads, drainage systems, sidewalks)
- Maintain clean and organized work sites per OSHA standards
- Collaborate with crews on public construction and beautification projects
- Report equipment malfunctions and safety hazards immediately
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid Florida driver's license with clean record
- Minimum 1 year construction/public works experience preferred
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and safety protocols
