Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on streets, sidewalks, and public facilities
- Operate heavy machinery including loaders, graders, and trenchers following safety protocols
- Assist in snow removal, ice control, and storm response operations
- Conduct site inspections and document work progress with digital tools
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure improvement projects
- Ensure proper waste disposal and recycling of construction materials
- Participate in emergency response during severe weather events
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid Minnesota Class D Driver's License with clean driving record
- OSHA 10-hour Construction Safety certification preferred
- Minimum 1 year experience in construction, landscaping, or public works
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and equipment operation
- Ability to work in all weather conditions and flexible schedule
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
