Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor in infrastructure maintenance including road repairs, drainage clearing, and park beautification
- Operate light machinery such as jackhammers, saws, and compactors under supervision
- Assist in stormwater management and erosion control projects
- Support waste collection and recycling initiatives citywide
- Maintain safe work zones following OSHA and city protocols
- Document work progress and material usage daily
- Collaborate with cross-functional crews for efficient project completion
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid Florida Driver's License with clean record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and work in outdoor conditions
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and safety practices
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends/holidays
- Pass pre-employment physical and background check
- Preferred: 6 months construction or public works experience
- Must possess reliable transportation to job sites
