Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor for infrastructure maintenance including road repairs, drainage systems, and park upkeep
- Operate heavy equipment safely (e.g., backhoes, dump trucks) under certified supervision
- Assist in emergency response during weather events like floods and ice storms
- Conduct routine inspections of public facilities and report maintenance needs
- Follow OSHA protocols and maintain clean, organized work sites
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on large-scale municipal projects
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid Texas Class C Driver's License with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year experience in construction, landscaping, or public works
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and heavy equipment operation
- Pass pre-employment physical and background check
