Responsibilities
- Assist in the maintenance, repair, and construction of public infrastructure, including roads and sidewalks.
- Operate heavy and light equipment, such as backhoes, dump trucks, and jackhammers, under supervision.
- Load and unload materials, tools, and supplies from delivery trucks.
- Perform manual labor tasks, including digging, grading, and clearing debris from streets.
- Follow strict safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Assist with snow and ice removal during winter operations to ensure public safety.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including equipment and job sites.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid Driver’s License with a satisfactory driving record.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and machinery is a plus.
- Physically fit and able to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential.
