Responsibilities
- Perform general labor tasks related to street maintenance, including patching, resurfacing, and crack sealing.
- Operate and maintain heavy equipment such as rollers, excavators, dump trucks, and asphalt pavers.
- Assist in the installation and repair of concrete and asphalt pavements.
- Clear snow and ice from public roads and sidewalks during winter months.
- Load and unload construction materials, tools, and equipment safely.
- Maintain a clean and safe work site in compliance with OSHA regulations.
- Perform minor repairs to public infrastructure under the supervision of a lead technician.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Previous experience in construction, landscaping, or public works is highly desirable.
- Ability to follow safety instructions and operate tools and machinery safely.
- Must be available for shift work, including weekends and holidays.
