Responsibilities
- Perform general construction and maintenance tasks on city streets, sidewalks, and parks.
- Operate light to medium equipment, including dump trucks, rollers, and mowers, safely and efficiently.
- Assist in snow and ice removal operations during winter storms to ensure public safety.
- Clean and maintain drainage ditches, catch basins, and culverts to prevent flooding.
- Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment as needed.
- Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and City policies.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Supervising Engineer or Foreman.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid Wisconsin Class A or B Driver’s License.
- Previous experience in construction, landscaping, or public works is preferred but not required.
- Ability to perform physical labor in all weather conditions.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and the ability to operate power tools.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
- Ability to pass a post-offer drug screen and background check.
