Your Role:
As a Public Works Laborer, you will play a crucial role in various municipal and infrastructure projects. You will work under the supervision of experienced foremen and site supervisors, ensuring all tasks are completed safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Perform general construction and maintenance duties including digging, loading, and unloading materials.
- Assist in paving, patching, and repairing roads, sidewalks, and curbs.
- Operate basic heavy equipment and hand tools, including jackhammers, tampers, and compressors.
- Maintain a clean and safe work site by removing debris and following safety protocols.
- Assist with traffic control measures and flagging duties as directed.
- Transport materials and tools to and from job sites using company vehicles.
- Report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions immediately to supervision.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Basic knowledge of construction safety standards is a plus but not required.
- Ability to work as part of a team and follow verbal instructions.
