Responsibilities
- Perform heavy manual labor including excavation, grading, and equipment operation
- Assist in road maintenance, drainage system repairs, and vegetation control
- Operate hand/power tools and light machinery under supervision
- Follow OSHA safety protocols and maintain clean work sites
- Support emergency response during weather events or infrastructure failures
- Participate in cross-functional training across public works divisions
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid Washington State Driver's License (Class B preferred)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
