Responsibilities
- Perform infrastructure maintenance including road repairs, drainage clearing, and park upkeep
- Operate light machinery (sweepers, mowers, hand tools) safely and efficiently
- Document daily work activities and submit digital reports remotely
- Collaborate with supervisors to prioritize projects and schedule adjustments
- Conduct safety inspections and maintain equipment logs from remote locations
- Respond to emergency weather-related public works tasks
- Participate in community outreach events on-site as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid Michigan driver's license with clean record
- 1+ years construction/maintenance experience preferred
- OSHA 10 certification or willingness to obtain
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work outdoors in varying conditions
- Basic computer skills for remote reporting (Google Workspace)
- Strong communication skills for hybrid collaboration
- Pass background check and drug screening
