Responsibilities
- Perform street maintenance, pothole repairs, and sidewalk installations
- Operate heavy machinery (excavators, dump trucks, asphalt pavers) safely
- Execute stormwater management and drainage system upkeep
- Assist in snow removal operations during winter emergencies
- Conduct park maintenance and green space rehabilitation projects
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and environmental regulations
- Collaborate with engineering teams on infrastructure improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid New Jersey Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years of public works or construction experience
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
- Basic knowledge of blueprints and construction materials
