Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain light to heavy construction equipment, including dump trucks, graders, and loaders, safely and efficiently.
- Perform manual labor tasks such as digging, grading, paving, and patching roads and sidewalks.
- Assist in snow and ice removal operations during winter months to ensure public safety.
- Clear debris, trash, and litter from streets, parks, and right-of-ways.
- Inspect public infrastructure for damage or safety hazards and report findings to supervisors.
- Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment at job sites.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and OSHA regulations while performing duties.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting, standing for extended periods, and operating heavy machinery.
- Basic knowledge of construction or maintenance equipment is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
