Responsibilities
- Operate heavy machinery for road maintenance, landscaping, and infrastructure projects
- Perform preventative maintenance on public facilities and park amenities
- Respond to emergency repairs during extreme weather events
- Collaborate with engineering teams on municipal improvement projects
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety protocols and environmental regulations
- Document work activities using digital reporting systems
- Participate in community outreach events for public education
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Valid Arizona Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years experience in public works or heavy equipment operation
- Certification in water distribution systems preferred
- Ability to obtain Arizona Pesticide Applicator License within 6 months
- Strong problem-solving skills in field conditions
- Pass pre-employment physical and background check
- Experience with GIS mapping systems a plus
