Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on city facilities, parks, and stormwater systems
- Operate heavy equipment including trucks, backhoes, and mowing machinery
- Respond to emergency service calls for public infrastructure issues
- Conduct safety inspections and ensure compliance with OSHA standards
- Assist in vegetation management and landscape beautification projects
- Document maintenance activities and submit detailed reports
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for large-scale community projects
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; technical certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years' experience in public works or facility maintenance
- Valid Arizona Commercial Driver's License (Class B)
- OSHA 10-hour construction safety certification
- Ability to operate heavy machinery safely and efficiently
- Physical capability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and carpentry systems
- Clean background check and drug-free workplace compliance
