Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain heavy machinery for road repairs and public facility upkeep
- Perform preventative maintenance on municipal vehicles and equipment
- Respond to emergency infrastructure repairs during inclement weather
- Conduct routine inspections of public spaces and report hazards
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams on infrastructure projects
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and municipal safety protocols
- Document maintenance activities using digital reporting systems
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Ohio driver's license with clean record
- OSHA 30-hour construction certification preferred
- Experience operating heavy machinery (excavators, graders, etc.)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Basic knowledge of hydraulic systems and mechanical troubleshooting
