Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on city parks, playgrounds, and recreational facilities
- Operate light equipment (mowers, trimmers, hand tools) for landscaping and upkeep
- Inspect and repair public infrastructure including benches, fences, and signage
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and environmental regulations
- Assist in emergency response for weather-related incidents
- Document maintenance activities and submit accurate reports
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on special projects
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid California Driver's License with clean record
- Minimum 1 year experience in groundskeeping or facility maintenance
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in varied weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
- Basic knowledge of landscaping tools and equipment
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
