Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repair of city streets, sidewalks, and traffic signs to ensure public safety.
- Operate heavy machinery and equipment, including dump trucks, backhoes, and mowers, in compliance with all safety regulations.
- Maintain and landscape public parks, playgrounds, and green spaces to enhance the community environment.
- Inspect municipal infrastructure for defects, damage, or hazards and report findings to supervisors.
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests and work as part of a team during severe weather events.
- Ensure all work sites are kept clean, organized, and free of debris.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Valid Tennessee Class C Driverâs License with a clean driving record.
- Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs and working in various weather conditions.
- Basic knowledge of construction equipment and tools is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret safety guidelines and work instructions.
