Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on city roads, sidewalks, and drainage systems
- Operate heavy machinery (backhoes, graders) for infrastructure projects
- Conduct park maintenance including landscaping, irrigation, and facility repairs
- Respond to emergency stormwater and flooding incidents citywide
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety protocols and environmental regulations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on community improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid California Class C driver's license (Class A/B preferred)
- Minimum 2 years construction/maintenance experience
- Certification in equipment operation (e.g., backhoe, forklift)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Pass pre-employment physical and background check
- Knowledge of OSHA and Cal/OSHA standards
