Responsibilities
- Perform daily maintenance on municipal roads, drainage systems, and public facilities
- Operate heavy machinery including graders, excavators, and dump trucks
- Respond to emergency infrastructure repairs within 24-hour response windows
- Conduct routine inspections of city assets and document maintenance reports
- Collaborate with engineering teams on infrastructure improvement projects
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety protocols and city regulations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years' experience in public works or construction field
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required
- Ability to operate heavy equipment and perform physically demanding tasks
- Basic knowledge of municipal infrastructure systems and repair techniques
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in all weather conditions
- Must pass background check and pre-employment physical
