Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on municipal facilities, roads, and drainage systems
- Operate specialized equipment including dump trucks, loaders, and street sweepers safely and efficiently
- Respond to emergency weather-related incidents (monsoons, flooding) with rapid deployment protocols
- Conduct site inspections and document infrastructure conditions using digital reporting tools
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure improvement projects
- Adhere to all OSHA safety standards and municipal operational guidelines
- Assist with community outreach during public works initiatives
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent with 2+ years of public works or construction experience
- Valid Arizona Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends and emergency response
- Proficient in basic hand/power tools and heavy equipment operation
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- U.S. citizenship or legal authorization to work in the United States
