Responsibilities
- Collect and dispose of residential and commercial refuse and recycling materials along designated routes.
- Operate heavy-duty sanitation trucks and machinery, including packer trucks and loaders.
- Maintain the cleanliness and functionality of sanitation vehicles and equipment.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and environmental regulations.
- Assist with emergency snow removal and maintenance during severe weather events.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid Colorado Driver’s License (Class D) with a clean driving record.
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
- Ability to work in all weather conditions and varying shifts.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn equipment operation.
- Strong commitment to public service and safety.
